My mission is to understand the significance of my clients’ events and dedicate myself to collaborating closely with them to create a custom entertainment package that perfectly aligns with their vision. I take pride in providing exceptional services and am committed to keeping the party upbeat, fun, and exciting for all.
In 2024, I expanded my services to include a Photo Booth, Photo Booth 360, and Digital Guestbooks. I’m enthusiastic about DJing and love collaborating with my clients to create unforgettable moments for their events. One of my absolute favorite parts of DJing is when guests and venue staff are leaving and singing the last song of the night. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing I helped put a “song in your heart and a smile on your face.”

I’m committed to making your event memorable. From weddings to the “My Guy and I” preschool Valentine's Day dance, high school homecomings and proms, fundraisers, meat raffles, nights at the races, battles of the banks, 50th wedding anniversaries, corporate events, galas, holiday events/parties, and senior and nursing home entertainment.
So if you’re planning an event, big or small, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Together, we’ll bring your vision to life and make it an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.
My name is Jeremy M. Mixon Sr., also known as DJ MxN, and I’m the proud owner of Mixon Music & Entertainment...
Growing up, I primarily listened to Christian music, with some exposure to rock and a brief interest in heavy metal; pop and dance music were hardly on my radar. In 2009, a friend told me I had the ideal personality to become a DJ and that they could teach me the music, which they said was the “easy part.” It took a little convincing, but I was intrigued. So I dipped my toe into the world of DJing. It didn’t take long before I found myself doing small events like karaoke, grad parties, corporate game coaching/team building, and the occasional wedding.
My first experience as a wedding DJ in late 2009 was a complete nightmare. It felt chaotic, uncomfortable, and for someone that had only been to a couple of weddings myself, even I could tell it didn’t flow at all. I swore I’d never DJ a wedding like that again. This was the biggest night of my client’s life, and I needed to become a better DJ, emcee, and entertainer, not only for myself but also for every client I’d encounter from this point on. As with everything in life, I learned from each experience. I focused on learning how to read the crowd and play the right songs...
In 2016, I found myself booking more events on my own rather than working for others. It was around that time I realized I needed to evolve beyond crossfading tracks from song to song. I took a leap and invested in my own equipment and my first DJ controller. This allowed me to learn beat-matching, which makes the event flow much smoother.
By 2018, I began focusing on school dances and corporate events. In 2021, my career job laid everyone off, so I went back to college. By September 2023, I officially launched Mixon Music & Entertainment. In December, I returned to the workforce. But after working for two weeks and not having the time to dedicate to my business, I turned in my two-week notice...
This was the beginning of my journey as a full-time DJ and business owner. I cannot be more excited about what the future holds. Every day I thank God for the opportunity to do what I love. I also thank my clients, especially my repeat clients, who keep me going. I consider you an extension of my family. Until the next time I see you, “Keep a song in your heart and a smile on your face.”
